Biography
Lori made films, documentaries, and TV shows for local and international networks for almost thirty years, working her way from Production Assistant to Producer for companies including Discovery Channel, National Geographic, ABC, SBS and Film Australia. She headed up the Development division at the Australian Film Commission (later Screen Australia) before taking the Executive Director position at the Motion Picture Distributors Association of Australia, a peak body representing the studio film distributors. From 2012 to 2022 she held the concurrent role of Executive Director of Creative Content Australia, an organisation committed to raising awareness about the value of copyright and the impact of film/TV piracy on the creative industries.
Lori’s role at the MPDAA is to advance and support the interests of theatrical film distribution, particularly in regard to policy, research, copyright, piracy, classification and other relevant matters.
Lori is the current National President of the Australian Society of Cinema Pioneers and sits on the Boards/Committees of Creative Content Australia, the Motion Picture Industry Benevolent Society and the Australian Feature Film Group which aims to close the communication loop between production, distribution and exhibition.
