Biography
Shontell Ketchell is a First Nations (Kaanju, Waanyi, Wakaid and Meriam) writer and producer and the founder of Pandamonium Films, a Cairns-based, First Nations female-led production company working across scripted and factual formats. Her credits span comedy, children’s television and documentary, including Gold Diggers (ABC/CBS), Black Comedy (ABC), Barrumbi Kids (NITV), Island Echoes (SBS/NITV), and cultural consultancy on Troppo Season 2. Most recently she worked as a writer on Little J & Big Cuz, and the BBC/Paramount+ series Ghosts, while writing and producing the feature documentary Marliya. Shontell’s work focuses on culturally grounded storytelling, collaboration with community, and developing new First Nations voices in the screen industry.
