Gary Phillips is joint managing director of UK based international sales company Moviehouse Entertainment, formed in 2001. Prior to launching Moviehouse with Mark Vennis, a colleague at sales and financing company J&M Entertainment, Phillips was head of sales at J&M Entertainment for six years from 1995 to 2000. He also headed sales at Majestic Films in 1994 and 1995 and worked in sales capacities prior to that at The Samuel Goldwyn Company, Weintraub Entertainment Group and Warner Bros.

Phillips has worked on sales at Moviehouse for films directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, Julien Temple and John Boorman and also worked on sales for the latter with his 1998 Cannes Award winning film The General starring Brendan Gleeson.
