Biography
Emmanuel is an accomplished film producer and production manager with over 25 years of international experience across India, Europe, and North America. His journey began in 2000 with the acclaimed independent feature Maya, shot in Hyderabad, India. This early experience sparked a lasting connection to the region and led him to co-found On The Road India, a pioneering production services company that became a trusted partner for major international productions filming across the country.

Through On The Road India, Emmanuel supported numerous global projects, including high-profile films such as Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises and Peter Weir’s The Way Back. His ability to bridge cultures, navigate complex logistics, and manage large-scale shoots quickly established him as a go-to expert for international productions in India.

His expertise led him to Warner Bros. in Burbank, California, where he spent eight years in the Physical Production department. There, he supported the production management of over 40 major studio films, including Joker, Wonder Woman, Dunkirk, Justice League, Ocean’s 8, Batman v Superman, and American Sniper. Emmanuel’s deep knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, logistics, and team coordination made him a vital force behind the smooth execution of these large-scale productions.

In partnership with his wife, Emmy-nominated writer-director Manjari Makijany, Emmanuel co-founded Skatepark Films, a Los Angeles-based boutique production company dedicated to telling socially resonant, globally appealing stories. He produced the critically acclaimed Netflix Original Skater Girl, released in 191 countries and 31 languages. As part of the film, he helped build Rajasthan’s first—and one of India’s largest—skateparks, which now operates as a free community space focused on youth development through art and sport.

Building on this impact-driven vision, Emmanuel and Manjari recently relocated to Sydney to launch Asia Pacific Pictures Pty Ltd.—a company focused on cross-cultural storytelling and co-productions that champion bold, original voices from Australia, India, the Asia Pacific region, and beyond. Emmanuel continues to bring together his global production expertise, passion for storytelling, and commitment to creating meaningful change through film.
