Biography
Matthew Jenkins is a British film producer known for his work on major international film productions and his frequent collaborations with director Kenneth Branagh. Over the course of his career, Jenkins has been involved in a range of high-profile projects spanning historical drama, literary adaptations, and large-scale franchise filmmaking.
Jenkins gained wide recognition for his work on Branagh’s adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express and its sequel Death on the Nile. These productions were part of a renewed cinematic series based on the novels of Agatha Christie, showcasing Jenkins’ experience in managing large ensemble casts and international productions.
He has collaborated with Branagh on other notable films including All Is True, a historical drama about the later life of William Shakespeare, the Disney fantasy adaptation Artemis Fowl, based on the popular novels by Eoin Colfer and more recently The Last Disturbance of Madeline Hynde starring Jodie Comer and Patricia Arquette. Jenkins also produced Norman Stone’ stage-to-screen adaptation C.S. Lewis: The Most Reluctant Convert which explores the life of author C. S. Lewis.
Jenkins expanded his work into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, serving as an executive producer on The Marvels and contributing to the Disney+ series Secret Invasion and Thunderbolts*, further establishing his role in major franchise filmmaking.
Through his work across independent productions, literary adaptations, and blockbuster franchises, Matthew Jenkins has built a reputation as a versatile producer capable of overseeing complex productions while maintaining strong creative partnerships with leading filmmakers.
He is currently working with Legendary Entertainment as executive producer on upcoming Ryan Reynolds/Jason Momoa comedy Animal Friends and Gundam, directed by Jim Mickle and starring Sydney Sweeney and Noah Centineo.
