James is a senior member of the investment team at Head Gear Films, the UK’s most established film financier. He works closely with producers from across the globe to structure film financing in the most efficient and strategic manner, enabling projects to move confidently into production.

During his time at Head Gear, he has led the financial close of 22 film and television projects with combined budgets exceeding $100 million. His expertise spans international co-productions, complex finance structures, and aligning creative ambition with commercial viability.

He began his career in television as a producer, developing high-end scripted projects for broadcasters including ITV and Sky. He later joined Universal Pictures, where he worked on the releases of major global franchises such as Jurassic World and Fast & Furious. This combination of production, studio, and financing experience gives him a comprehensive understanding of the film lifecycle—from development through to distribution.
