How did Australia get so good at the craft and business of kids content? With so much unique and gloriously creative Australian kid’s content being made, this session looks behind the scenes at the ingenuity being utilised on some of the most exciting kids shows being created across the country. The panel will discuss creating stories with heart and empathy and out of the box creativity using gorgeous puppetry merging technology and nature in South Australia’s Beep & Mort, Ludo’s simple animated genius of Bluey, Werner Productions new and ambitious horror comedy Crazy Fun Park, the globally distributed animation produced by Flying Bark studios and the spooky yet hilarious Strange Chores from Ludo and Media World Pictures. Libbie Doherty, ABC’s Head of Children’s production sits down with the panellists to discuss where these ideas come from and how the creative process comes to life.
