Kate is a 15 year experienced producer/writer/director and a 35 year experienced actor. With sister Charmaine, Kate formed production company Baby Banksia and after many years producing theatre and film, they moved into television production with their YA drama series ‘More Than This’ for Paramount+. Kate also directed three of the episodes. Prior to this Baby Banksia produced feature film ‘Five Moments of Infidelity’ which Kate wrote and directed, winning Best Film at DIGISPAA, and received best screenplay, best film and best direction nominations and accolades at various festivals internationally. The film had a theatrical release in NZ and DVD release worldwide. Kate co-produced and co-directed feature film Doco The Face of Birth, which had a worldwide independent theatrical release, and helped change government policy for birthing mothers in Australia. She then went on to direct and co-produce two more birth documentaries for the educational market Birth Stories and Meet the Experts. Kate directed two episodes of the ABC docudrama series ‘Bringing our Stories Home’. She also has many theatre directing credits and a long list of acting credits including over 30 lead and guest roles in film and TV and many theatre credits both here and in the UK.
