Biography
Fiona Cameron is a full time board member at the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA). In this role, she Chairs the Scams Taskforce, has lead responsibility for telecommunications consumer matters and online gambling regulation and sits on the Content and Consumer Committee. She comes to the ACMA after serving 10 year as the inaugural Chief Operating Officer at Screen Australia, responsible for merging three entities into the premier Federal screen funding agency and establishing programs such as the Enterprise Scheme and the multi-media and games fund. Prior to this role, Fiona was a General Manager with DMG Radio Australia, responsible for launching the new radio brand Nova in Melbourne. Fiona has worked across state and federal government in portfolios as varied as education, regional development and communications. She has been a Director of the Australian Film Television and Radio School and Commercial Radio Australia. Fiona has a commercial and public policy background with a keen appreciation of Australian story telling both on paper and screen!
