Mithila is an Indian born, Aussie bred screenwriter/ creator who has been writing popular Australian television for over ten years. She recently wrote on two seasons BUMP (Stan), three seasons of FIVE BEDROOMS (Ten, Peacock & BBC One) and was Head Writer on Aquarius Films’ THE UNLISTED (ABC & Netflix) on which she wrote several episodes including the pilot. She’s also written on DOCTOR DOCTOR/ THE HEART GUY (Nine), THE HEIGHTS (ABC), PLAYING FOR KEEPS (Ten), WINNERS AND LOSERS (Seven), HOME AND AWAY (Seven), TRIP FOR BISCUITS (ABC), NEIGHBOURS and TOYBOX (Seven). She was the assistant script editor on CLEVERMAN (ABC & AMC). Mithila currently has a slate of ambitious projects in development with a specific focus on India and beyond - including sweeping romance with SBS, coming of age comedy with Audible India and a Mumbai thriller with Easy Tiger and Ivanhoe Pictures/ SK Global Entertainment (Delhi Crime and Crazy Rich Asians). Mithila passionately aspires to diversify the Australian industry - both in front of and behind the camera. She believes true inclusion begins on the page.
