Black Snow is a complex tale of an unsolved murder in a remote community which has slowly managed to heal and move on, when the cold case is suddenly brought back to light by Detective James Cormack (Travis Fimmel). One of the first and largest productions to immerse itself in the Australian South Sea Islander community in North Queensland, Black Snow was a co-commission with Stan and Sundance Now, produced by independent production company, Goalpost Productions and distributed by All3 Media. Hailed by audiences and critics in Australia and internationally, this discussion explores the elements that have made Black Snow such a remarkable commercial success, including how cultural immersion created a culture of care and sensitivity from the start, all while working in a remote area of Queensland.
