Description

The business of streaming shifted in 2022. Why did it shift and what might that mean for the Australian production industry?

Dr Amanda Lotz (QUT), Tim Mulligan (MIDIA Research), Foad Fadaghi (Telsyte), and Dan Robins (PWC) form a panel to discuss what happened in 2022 to force the streamers to change their strategies. Will the streamers continue with a focus on optimisation (i.e., ad-supported subscriptions, password sharing, reducing production and operation costs)?  Or will they consolidate, reducing the number of platforms in the market? Most importantly, what might these strategies mean for the Australian production industry?
