At CBC Kids we are looking for unique and innovative projects for preschool audiences 2-6 that make kids laugh, think, and feel. Humour, kindness and empathy are core values for our youngest viewers along with diversity, inclusivity and gender equity. To a lesser degree we have a need for tween targeted projects. Here we are looking for authentic, and top-notch storytelling that speaks to tweens in that 10-14 year-old demo. We primarily focus on Canadian IP and producers but are very open to co-productions and partnerships that can help finance projects and bring added value to our shows. We have limited non-Canadian acquisitions - our selection prioritizes bigger brands like "Paddington Bear" and "Hello Kitty Superstyle" as well as innovative subject matter like "First Day". NB: Each pitch session lasts fifteen minutes and consists of producers pitching their project to industry buyers and receiving immediate constructive feedback.
