I am responsible for both acquisitions and co-productions at RTE. For Acquisitions I am particularly looking for scripted series, dramas and comedies. For dramas serialised series are preferable, 4,6 or a maximum of 8 episodes. Themes which work for us include crime, thrillers, human drama, romance, medical. No horror, paranormal or sci- fi. For Co-Productions I work with our head of drama to find projects which have organic Irish themes imbedded in the story. We like to engage at the earliest stage and can co-fund development. NB: Each pitch session lasts fifteen minutes and consists of producers pitching their project to industry buyers and receiving immediate constructive feedback.
