Biography
Sondiyp Singh is the Assistant Commissioner for the Local Content Team at TVNZ. With almost ten years experience on set in a variety of production roles, he has also worked in broadcasting at Sky Television in live media operation, and programming where he managed a portfolio of 6 channels, and now at TVNZ.
In 2019 he completed a Masters of Screenwriting at AUT where he graduated with Honours, and has subsequently used his skills and experience to support the Commissioners at TVNZ in the administration and management of the various funding rounds for NZ On Air, Te Māngai Pāho, and internal TVNZ funding.
What we're looking for from Ready, Steady, Pitch!
We are keen to hear about any potential co-productions that would be entertaining for broad audiences while also illuminating some aspect of a culture that exists in New Zealand (and presumably would also be entertaining for Australians). Some examples would be… My Life Is Murder (originally an Aussie show, then ported over here), Mystic (with BBC – a teen girl from London moves to small-town New Zealand) Under The Vines (with Acorn – an Australian socialite and a London lawyer co-inherit a New Zealand vineyard)
