Biography
Marcus is heading up the expansion of STUDIOCANAL’s development and production plans for ANZ. He will be driving projects that have a broad appeal and support Australia and New Zealand cultures and talent.
Marcus is best known for executive producing high profile projects for film, TV and digital media. His credits include NERVE, selected for Sydney and Shanghai Film Festivals, International Emmy® Award winning TV drama SCORCHED, feature documentaries OWN THE SKY, LIVING UNIVERSE, MOTORKITE DREAMING and AACTA award winning STORM SURFERS 3D. Prior to taking up the role at STUDIOCANAL, his production company Firelight co-produced projects with several leading Australian production companies including Essential Media along with networks including ZDF, Discovery, Nine, ABC TV and SBS TV.
He is a former Screen Producers Australia councillor and held board positions with TV Sydney and Metro Screen. He is the author of two screen industry publications under the HANDS ON title. He holds Masters degrees in Screen Arts Business (AFTRS) and Media Arts Production (UTS).
