Biography
Lucie Desquiens first joined Charades' team in 2019, after graduating with a master's degree in public affairs. She is responsible for acquisitions and sales for Asian territories. Charades is an international sales and coproduction company based in Paris with a global outreach. The company was founded in 2017 by Carole Baraton, Yohann Comte and Pierre Mazars, following successful tenures as head and VPs of International Sales at Wild Bunch, Gaumont and StudioCanal. Charades' slate is eclectic and director-driven. Recent titles include Aftersun by Charlotte Wells, Tchaikovsky's Wife by Kirill Serebrennikov, Little Nicholas: Happy as Can Be by Benjamin Massoubre & Amandine Fredon or Scrapper by Charlotte Regan.
What we're looking for from Ready, Steady, Pitch!
Charades' lineup is eclectic and director-driven. We look for projects from upcoming talents or experienced directors which we can push to A-festivals, whichever genre they might be. We have experience working with a wide range of projects, from Japanese anime to French comedies, foreign language arthouse or horror films.
