Biography
Jamie Campbell is a highly experienced and respected media executive who has built a stellar career and reputation in television, communications, partnerships, engagement and talent and profile management over the last 25 years. His specialties include public relations, communications and social media strategy and implementation, talent and ambassador management, crisis management, stake-holder navigation and engagement, creative consulting and event creation and direction. He is a born strategist and communicator and a natural at building and maintaining relationships and partnerships. His broad experience covers television, film, product and personality management and PR/communications. Following senior roles at Channel Nine and Foxtel, in 2021, Jamie established his own specialised consultancy designed to work with bespoke clients across a variety of industries. He is currently consulting to NIDA in a senior advisory capacity to the CEO working across partnerships and engagement, marketing and development. Jamie spent 13 years as Group Director of Publicity and Talent at Foxtel where, as a senior executive, he managed a large team across Foxtel and Fox Sports. Jamie successfully led his group to develop and implement the subscription broadcaster’s communications strategy for programming, product, brand and talent. This included media events, stakeholder engagement, co-ordinated communications campaigns, crisis management, photo shoots, targeted media strategy and collaboration. He developed and oversaw the talent ambassador campaigns for Foxtel identifying key personalities to drive brand awareness and engagement and managed the end-to-end relationships with all talent across the company. He led all major events and created the PR plan for a range of highly successful content across drama, movies, lifestyle, factual, sport and entertainment. During his nine years with Channel Nine Jamie worked first in the Los Angeles bureau managing publicity for all Nine US content and was in charge of relationships and communications strategy with the leading film and television distributors. In Sydney in 2003, he was appointed to the role of Director of Publicity across the Network and oversaw the team who ran the media and communications for all of Nine’s iconic Australian programming and events across drama, light entertainment, sport, factual and news and current affairs. Over the years Jamie has worked with a very broad range of talent and creatives across film, television, lifestyle, music, sport and celebrity. His professional approach and ability to build and nurture relationships has ensured great success and ongoing collaborations.
