Helen is one of Australia’s most prolific and highly awarded television drama producers. In 2015 she formed Lingo Pictures with Jason Stephens and together they have made ten series in eight years. This includes two seasons of The Secrets She Keeps starring Laura Carmichael and Jessica de Gouw (Secrets was the first Australian drama play on BBC1 primetime in over 25 years and was the 5th most watched show on the BBC i-player for 2019); two seasons of Upright starring Tim Minchin for Sky and Foxtel; Lambs of God, starring Anne Dowd, Essie Davis and Sam Reid for Foxtel; and the soon to be broadcast, The Messenger for the ABC and All3Media.
Lingo is currently in production on After the Party for TVNZ, the ABC, and ITV Studios starring Robyn Malcolm and Peter Mullan; Prosper for Stan and Lionsgate, starring Richard Roxburgh and Rebecca Gibney; and Erotic Stories, an anthology series for SBS and ITV Studios. We are also completing post-production on Queen of Oz, a comedy starring Catherine Tate for BBC1 and Fifth Season.
Previous productions include: Wake in Fright; On the Ropes; The Slap; Devils’ Playground; and Underground, the Julian Assange Story.
Helen was a founder and the foundation Managing Director of Matchbox Pictures, which sold to NBCUniversal in early 2014. In 2022 Helen and Jason sold a majority stake in Lingo Pictures to ITV Studios International.

Screen Producers Australia respectfully acknowledges the people of the Yugambeh language region, the traditional owners of the lands on which we met. We thank the traditional custodians for welcoming us all onto their lands.
We acknowledge and pay respects to them and all their descendants both past and present. We also acknowledge the many Aboriginal people from other regions as well as Torres Strait and South Sea Islander people who now live in the local area and have made an important contribution to the community.
