Meet the SCREEN FOREVER 39
Advisory Boards
01 Oct 2025
Today, Screen Producers Australia (SPA) is pleased to announce the domestic and international screen executives who will sit on the Program and Market Advisory Boards for Australia’s premier screen industry event SCREEN FOREVER, which will take place from Tuesday, 6 May 2025 – Thursday, 8 May 2025 on Queensland’s iconic Gold Coast.
In a change from previous years, the Online Global Market, which opens opportunities to connect with global buyers and commissioners, will take place a week before SCREEN FOREVER 39 from Tuesday, 29 April 2025 - Wednesday, 30 April 2025.
The Boards announced today include key international screen professionals from Canada, the UK and the US, with a wealth of varied international industry experience. When teamed with the local Australian industry professionals and creatives on each board, they will deliver diverse opinions and focus points that will form a holistic program for SCREEN FOREVER 39 and the structure of the SPA Connect Market.
All Board members announced today will play important roles in setting strategic direction for the 39th iteration of SCREEN FOREVER. The Program Advisory Board will support the creation of an inspirational, thought-provoking, and business-focused program, while the Market Advisory Board will help develop a wealth of co-production, distribution, and financing opportunities available through the SPA Connect Market.
“SCREEN FOREVER has always been committed to providing valuable and widespread business benefits for our members and the Australian screen industry at large. We are delighted to be announcing the local and international screen professionals that are forming the conference boards and thank them for the contributions they will be making t to SF39," said SPA CEO Matthew Deaner.
"Each board has been thoughtfully assembled, featuring a mix of creative voices and industry experts with extensive knowledge and experience in creating successful screen projects. Their involvement will support SPA in offering a program and SPA Connect Market filled with invaluable networking opportunities, business meetings, and thought-provoking leadership sessions,” said Mr Deaner.
The Boards held their initial meeting last week to begin discussions on program content and SPA Connect Market opportunities, providing guidance in the lead-up to SCREEN FOREVER 39.

We acknowledge and pay respects to them and all their descendants both past and present. We also acknowledge the many Aboriginal people from other regions as well as Torres Strait and South Sea Islander people who now live in the local area and have made an important contribution to the community.
